Brian Deslauriers - Founder

Brian Deslauriers is a seasoned entrepreneur with over 50 years of experience in various industries. He began his journey in 1967 when he opened his first restaurant, Highway House, immediately after his service in the Marine Corps. Since then, Brian has founded several businesses across diverse sectors, from stained glass manufacturing to a unisex hair salon in Seattle, WA.

In the early 1980s, Brian moved into the rapidly expanding technology sector and founded Incom Systems. Under his leadership, the company created the world's first Briefcase computer system designed for field sales and support. Later, he established Factories of the World, a precursor to online shopping, which utilized Windows 3.1 and a specialized database created by the University of Minnesota to offer products directly from overseas factories—a concept similar to Alibaba's business model. Brian's visionary approach and drive to innovate have been fundamental to his entrepreneurial success.

Today, Brian, together with his wife Chef Lake and son Joe, owns and operates TeaStar Thai Cafe in Spartanburg, SC. The inspiration for Nano Parks Thailand can be traced back to their efforts to expand their cafe business with a Boba Tea cart. What began as a simple idea soon evolved into the ambitious and innovative concept of Nano Parks Thailand. With the support of his family and a lifelong passion for entrepreneurship, Brian continues to bring his vision to life through this groundbreaking eco-village project.

Nano Parks Thailand is committed to implementing a range of eco-friendly practices to minimize its environmental impact and promote sustainable living. Some of the key initiatives include:

  1. Renewable Energy: The park utilizes solar panels and other renewable energy sources to power its facilities, reducing reliance on non-renewable resources.

  2. Water Management: A comprehensive water management system is in place to conserve water usage and recycle greywater for irrigation purposes.

  3. Eco-Friendly Construction: The park's buildings are constructed using green materials, such as bamboo and recycled materials, to minimize the environmental impact of construction.

  4. Waste Reduction: A robust recycling and composting program is implemented throughout the park to divert waste from landfills and promote a circular economy.

  5. Biodiversity Conservation: The park maintains a biodiverse habitat for local flora and fauna, ensuring their protection and promoting the area's natural beauty.

By integrating these sustainability initiatives, Nano Parks Thailand aims to serve as a model for eco-friendly development and inspire others to adopt more sustainable practices.

Nano Parks Thailand values collaboration and has formed strategic partnerships with various organizations, businesses, and educational institutions to support its mission and goals. Some notable partnerships include:

  1. Local Universities: Collaborations with local universities, such as Chiang Mai University, allow for research partnerships, student internships, and joint educational programs.
